Kuwait Reduces The Number of Diplomats Of The Iranian Embassy

Dubai – (Massader News )

The State of Kuwait has decided to reduce the number of diplomats working in the Iranian embassy in Kuwait, close the technical offices of the embassy and freeze any activities within the framework of the joint committees between Kuwait and the Islamic Republic of Iran, the foreign ministry said in a statement on Thursday.

The decision of the Kuwaiti Foreign Ministry follows the decision of the Court of Cassation No. 901 of 2016 on the so-called Abdali cell, where the reasons for the ruling proved the involvement of Iranian parties in helping and supporting the cell.

On August 13, 2015, the Kuwaiti interior ministry arrested a number of defendants with a large quantity of weapons found at a farm in the Abdali area near the Iraqi border.
