Gold prices fell at the close of trading on Tuesday, coinciding with the recovery of the US dollar, and the price of the precious metal futures fell by 0.4% to 1291 dollars an ounce, according to Mubasher.
The dollar rose against the euro by 0.5% to $ 1.1757 and gained 0.4% against yen to 109.5 yen.
