Gasoline prices rose nearly 3% at the end of Thursday trading, coinciding with Hurricane Harvey which is hitting the Gulf of Texas, and the price of gasoline contracts for September delivery rose by 2.8% to $ 1.66 per gallon, according to Mubasher

Forecasts of rising demand, led to gasoline prices rising after oil companies evacuated workers on their oil platforms and shut down oil plants in the Gulf of Mexico because of the hurricane.
