Emirates Residence Visa Holders are Welcome Back to UAE

The United Arab Emirates on Monday said it would welcome the return of holders of valid residency visas who are abroad but have relatives inside the country starting June 1, state news agency (WAM) said.

On March 19, the UAE suspended entry of valid residence visa holders who are still abroad over coronavirus concerns.

“UAE keen to facilitate the procedures for holders of valid UAE residency outside the country to reunite with their families who were affected by the precautionary measures taken by the country in light of the current exceptional circumstances to combat COVID-19,” the ministry and the authority said in a joint statement on WAM.

Sterilisation

Today, the UAE announced that sterilisation measures will start from : 8pm to 6am from Ramadan 27, as per the Islamic calendar.

This falls on May 20 till further notice.

The renewed restrictions will also cover the Eid break based on Monday’s briefing.

The development has come as a precautionary measure to ensure the safety of those affected by the decision.

Which is subject to renewals depending on the health status measures taken due to the novel coronavirus outbreak.

Procedures

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has requested those holding valid UAE visas to pursue the following procedures:

– To whom are now staying in their countries of origin have to contact the UAE diplomatic missions for all necessary support.

-Those who are currently outside the UAE for business considerations have to contact their employers here .

-Who are now on vacation have to contact UAE diplomatic missions in their respective host countries for all necessary support .
