Oil Prices Rise As Geopolitical Concerns Ease

Oil prices rose on Friday. Brent crude for May delivery rose 0.4% to $ 63.84 a barrel, as geopolitical concerns eased after US President Donald Trump announced his agreement to meet North Korea’s leader, according to a report published by Mubasher.

The price of NYMEX crude futures rose by 0.2% to $ 60.26 a barrel.

The US Energy Information Administration reported a 2.4 million barrel increase in inventories in the week ending March 2.

Investors are expecting Baker Hughes  to announce later in the day data on oil drilling platforms in the United States during the week ending today, according to Mubasher.
